Set in beautiful gardens and overlooking the superb Alvor beach, the Dom Joao is within easy walking distance of Alvor Village, with its wide selection of restaurants, shops etc.
The outdoor saltwater pool is heated in winter, and all rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV and en-suite bathrooms. Facilities include two restaurants, tennis courts at sister hotels which can be used, jacuzzi and sauna. The resorts of Praia da Rocha and Portimao are approximately 5 km away. Unlimited Golf is available at the Vale de Pinta, Quinta Gramacho and the new Silves course at nearby Carvoeiro (owned by the hotel group), booking a minimum of four weeks in advance and is always subject to the availibility of the hotel's tee times. The David Leadbetter Golf Academy is based at the Vale de Pinta course.
